Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya is set against the backdrop of small town Allahabad, where talks travel faster than wind. Women are treated as mere commodities and they have learnt to live with it. It is a love story of two people who are completely different. Pratigya is lucky to be born and brought-up in an educated family where her father provided her the same privileges and education as her brother. Krishna, on the other hand, is an illiterate who does not have any regard for the importance education. Krishna doesn’t understand the true meaning of love and for him Pratigya is a mere commodity whom he wishes to acquire. Krishna’s madness compels Pratigya to marry him for the sake of her family’s happiness and honour. Eventually, she realises Krishna’s true love and their relationship sees a new phase. Pratigya decides to change Krishna and make him a responsible member of the family and society.
